FEA (Finite Element Analysis)

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) utilizes the power and speed of computer processing and software to predict how real world objects will react to applied forces. FEA breaks down objects into many smaller elements. Each element’s behavior is predicted using mathematical equations within the FEA software. Balzer Pacific uses FEA to provide component static stress calculations, displacement and reaction forces when subjected to external loading. Mechanical Event Simulation (MES) is used to predict the behavior of components when subjected to dynamic loading. Natural frequency analysis calculations are used to predict the behavior of objects subjected to external periodic forces. The use of FEA allows Balzer Pacific to optimize component and structural designs while at the same time reducing the design time, material cost and physical testing requirements.
